Episode 1: The Mystery of the Missing Scroll
It was a busy day at the Great Hall of the Dali Temple, with petitioners lining up to seek justice from the wise magistrate. As Magistrate Li sat at his desk, he noticed that one of the scrolls on the shelf was missing. It was an important document containing evidence for an upcoming trial.
Magistrate Li immediately called for his assistant, Xiao Ming, and asked him to search for the missing scroll. Xiao Ming searched high and low, but the scroll was nowhere to be found. Magistrate Li knew that time was of the essence, as the trial was scheduled for the next day.
Determined to solve the mystery, Magistrate Li called for a meeting with his trusted advisors. They brainstormed possible suspects and motives, and eventually came up with a plan to catch the thief.
The next day, as the trial began, Magistrate Li announced that he had found the missing scroll and revealed the identity of the thief. It turned out to be the court scribe, who had stolen the scroll in a misguided attempt to sabotage the trial.
With the mystery solved and justice served, Magistrate Li and his team could finally breathe a sigh of relief. But little did they know that more challenges and mysteries awaited them in the days to come.
