As the English class representative, I always had to make sure that everything was in order and everyone was paying attention during class. One day, as the teacher was explaining a particularly difficult grammar rule, I noticed that one of my classmates, Tom, seemed to be struggling to stay focused. He looked tired and was having a hard time keeping up with the lesson.I could see that Tom was really trying his best, but it was clear that he needed a break. So, without hesitating, I approached him and whispered, "Tom, why don't you just lay down for a bit and take a rest? I'll cover for you and take notes on what you miss."At first, Tom looked surprised by my suggestion. But then he nodded gratefully and quickly laid down on the floor, resting his head on his arms. I could see the relief in his eyes as he closed them, finally able to relax for a moment.As the teacher continued the lesson, I made sure to take thorough notes on everything that was being taught. I also kept an eye on Tom, making sure he was comfortable and undisturbed. I could see that he was feeling much better and more at ease now that he had taken a short break.After the class ended, Tom approached me and thanked me for helping him out. He admitted that he had been feeling overwhelmed and exhausted, and that my suggestion had really made a difference for him.I smiled and reassured him that it was no problem at all. As the English class representative, it was my job to look out for my classmates and make sure that everyone was able to keep up with the lessons. And if that meant letting someone take a short break to recharge, then I was more than happy to help.From that day on, Tom seemed to be more focused and engaged during class. And I was glad that I had been able to make a difference for him. Being the English class representative wasn't just about keeping order in the classroom, it was also about looking out for my classmates and making sure that everyone had the support they needed to succeed. And I was proud to have been able to do just that.
